Objective of the Research Project “CDR-STEPS”
The research project “CDR-STEPS” aims to make a significant contribution to embedding Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR) into the business models of startups, thereby actively shaping the future of digitalization. Through this project, we seek to empower startups to integrate CDR principles across all areas of their business operations, whether in product development, data protection, or the design of digital technologies.
The primary goal of CDR-STEPS is to develop a practical and step-by-step toolbox that guides young companies in effectively implementing CDR initiatives. This toolbox serves as a comprehensive resource for startups to incorporate responsible digital practices, fostering innovation while maintaining ethical and sustainable standards.
Support by the Bavarian Ministry of Science and the Arts
“CDR-STEPS” is funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Science and the Arts within the framework of the “Program for the Funding of Applied Research and Development at Universities of Applied Sciences and Universities of Technology.” This funding initiative, running from April 2024 to October 2026 at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, aims to deliver actionable tools and scholarly insights that advance the understanding and practical application of Corporate Digital Responsibility.
Through close collaboration with startups, the project focuses on developing innovative strategies to harmonize ethical responsibility and economic success. By doing so, “CDR-STEPS” seeks to equip founders with the skills to identify and mitigate risks early, engage in proactive management, and make informed decisions that align with both economic and ethical considerations.
Our Mission
The mission of “CDR-STEPS” is to contribute to a responsible and sustainable digital future. We strive to demonstrate that startups can achieve both innovation and success while adhering to high standards of corporate responsibility.
